A strange day, but good to catch up with Sue Long and Lyn Gregory.

27th Sept 2014

Off to Stafford & District Open Show, just Ralph entered, no ESS classes so we are in the AVNSC Gundog PG class, Ralph was 2nd, and also well behaved, I think he is getting the hang of this showing lark, we then waited till the end of the show to compete in the JW qualifying heat for the semi's, a huge class, so chuffed to say that Ralph was one of five pulled out, so off to the semi's we go!!!!! a long day but worth it.

As always great laughs, and bril company, the journey home was a bit long and tiring but we made it.

17th August 2014 - Arthur wins his 5th CC and BOB

What a day!! were do I start?? set of at 5.15am to meet Kath at the services to go to WKC Champ Show, arrived to kath looking at me funny, yep I had a flat tyre and didnt even realise. So between us (but mostly Kath) we managed to change the tyre, and an hour later than planned we set off, if I'm honest I really couldnt be bothered . we arrived just in time, and manged to get sorted. Our judge for the day was Mr S Hollings (Gunalt), who was awarding CC's for the first time in our lovely breed. Ralph was in first in Post Grad dog, a big jump from his yearling class, but didnt put a foot wrong, and was placed VHC.
Next Arthur went in to Open Dog, by this time again if I am honest I was just glad to be there, but OMG!! to my surprise and delight Arthur won his class. So back in for the dog challenge, and another OMG!!! Arthur wins his 5th CC, I can't describe the feeling, amazing, chuffed to bits, proud, happy, tearful, yes all of that and more. We then had to wait to challenge for BOB, the Bitch CC winner was stunning, but again all of the above and more Arthur was awarded BOB!!!!! What can I say, proud, stunned, amazed, Arthur didnt put a paw wrong all day, what a star, my once in a life dog. all though we didnt do anything in the group the comments from the ring side were just the icing on the cake, a huge thank you to everyone.

10th August 2014

An afternoon show so no rushing in the morning, just Ralph entered in Open, really pleased with Ralph as he won his class and then went on to get BOB under judge Anne Le Maitre (Vannelmead). Thank you to the judge for her super comments about Ralph.

3rd August 2014

Today we went off to Malvern to National gundog Association Champ Show, again the weather is glorious, our judge today was Breed Specialist Mrs Kay Woodward (Wadeson), Ralph was in first and was 2nd in Graduate Dog, then Arthur won a 3rd in Open Dog, I must say a HUGE WELL DONE to Ray Smith and "Buzz" who went on to be BPIS !!!! what a fab day for you. Lots of laughs, great company, and as usual lovely to catch up with people. the journey home was one better forgotten, as the traffic on the M6 was horrendous, but home safe, ready for the next one.

25th July 2014

Well when I set out this morning little did I know what the day had in store for me. Yoday we went off to Leeds Champ Show, quite local really, Our judge was Miss Teresa Dunsdon (Seaspring) and her first time awarding CC's in our Breed. Not our best day for results, Ralph was 2nd Graduate Dog and Arthur was 4th in Open Dog. The weather was glorious, but as it turned out just to damn hot for the pooches, Jacob came along as he always does, and i took all the right precautions in ensuring the "Boys" were kept as cool as possible, but Jacob became to hot and was ill. I really can't tell you how awful I felt, I was so glad the show Vet was there, thank you to everyone who helped with jacob and put up with my tears, Jacob is fine now, and we made it home in one piece, other than that a lovely day, great compamy, loads of laughs and lovely to catch up with friends,
